A Vision of an Angel that Changed Me Forever

My life has taken a lot of turns lately, but moving to Tofino has definitely been the most epic one.

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll know that while in Hawaii in March, I broke up with my boyfriend and decided to move to Vancouver Island, but I didn’t know exactly where I wanted to move to.

On May 5th, I packed up my car with all of my belongings, and headed west, only knowing that I was going to make Kelowna and Victoria pit stops on the quest through BC.

On September 29th, I finally found my spot and moved into a beautiful new house with 2 of the most awesome girls I could ever ask for.

The time in between those 2 dates, I spent nomading: camping, staying with friends + family, sometimes sleeping in my car, constantly unaware of what my next move would be, constantly changing my mind, trying to follow my heart, even though I was unsure of what it was saying.

Finally the storm subsided, prayers manifested, and I’ve been able to relax. I’m now joyfully settling into my new home. I am absolutely IN LOVE with this place, and since being in Tofino, I’ve already had some really interesting experiences.

The other night, I had a dream.

In it, I was talking to my ex-boyfriend (which totally needs a new title, he is my soul friend through and through) and felt a deep and all encompassing love in my body. He was asking if I wanted to be with him, and though it felt like a part of me was dying, my truth formed the words ‘No’.

As they came out of my mouth, it felt like one of the most tragic things I ever had to do, knowing that I was deeply in love with this being, but I had to say no.

There was someone in the other room who I wanted to be with instead. Interestingly enough, I felt like the soul I was speaking to in the dream wasn’t actually my ex-boyfriend, it was someone from a past life I had known long ago - I was experiencing a recall.

The emotions in this dream were insane. They were more than emotions. They were deep spiritual longings. Upon waking, I was kind of torn up. From the depths, I decided to do a chakra clearing meditation while I was laying down, still between the worlds.

Upon finishing the meditation, I kept going. I asked that the memories from the dream be cleared.

Suddenly, an intense amount of emotional pain surged through me and out of my heart. The release was uncontrollable, and I started wailing. Not crying, wailing. I couldn’t even make any noise I was crying so hard. So much pain was in my body as I remembered this soul I said no to. It’s indescribable the amount of emotion that was present.

As it was leaving, I had a vision that lasted as split second, yet imprinted in my mind with virility. An angel, in the form of a large diamond about 5 feet above my heart appeared. Light shone out of it, and it’s presence was both powerful and peaceful. As this light being was above me, the memory and the emotions shot out of my heart, up into the angel’s diamond. I knew instantly it was taking this from me. Forever healed. Finally ready to come up and out of my system. Finally ready to come home.

And then it was over. Adrenaline still pumped through my veins, but I felt a calm and nurturing energy come over me.

These type of experiences aren’t necessarily unusual for me, yet this particular experience was unique. Every year that I continue on the spiritual path, I have more and more magical experiences. I see more - ex. angels & auras. I feel more - both pain & pleasure. I understand more and yet I embrace that life is really just an all encompassing mystery.

If you’re on this path, and sometimes you question it, like we all do from time to time, all I can say to you is: keep going.

This journey is real, magic is alive, and although it seems that sometimes it only presents itself in certain moments, it is with us everyday.

It is just a matter of when we’re ready for it.

Just a reminder - today is the last day to sign up for the epic spiritual program that is Flower Child.

What I just described to you above is an experience associated with the ‘Priestess’. This archetype and very real historical title will be discussed in our New Moon call with Vanessa Codorniu. If you’re really intrigued with this path and feel connected to the mysticism of the priestess, I highly suggest you sign up. Though our greatest path is inward, we would be nowhere without teachers that have come before us to share their wealth of experience. We need each other. I love you.

The Crystals Are Back! (For a Short Time!) XO

ORDERS HAVE BEEN CAPPED, THANK YOU SO MUCH

This summer has been an interesting one. My quests have lead me far and near, and have brought me to Calgary for 2 weeks just in time for the solstice and the flooding. I wanted to use this time in a way that brought me back to Waves of Fire, and the flow of working on projects I love.

Therefore, I've decided to take about 10 or so orders for my custom crystal necklaces. As most of you know, I decided to stop creating them in October of last year, as my desire for other projects (like working with herbs!) became greater.

However I've been missing the intricate creation process and the profound and elven beauty of a finished piece. I also know that there were many of you who wanted one, but didn't order in time. Here's your chance! I'm not sure when (or if) I'll be doing this again, so please get in touch with me if you feel called to have one created for you.

TAKING CUSTOM CRYSTAL NECKLACE ORDERS

Here's how it works, the process is the same as it was last year save for a couple details:

When you decide to order a custom crystal piece, I will send you a list of questions and ask for a picture, that allows me to feel out your energy, and gives you the opportunity to specify exactly what you're looking for. Do you need help opening your heart? Or perhaps you feel overwhelmed by the frantic vibes of city life at times, and would love a crystal to buffer that energy. Our initial conversations will allow you to get specific.

I then go to my favourite crystal store, Earth Gems, and ask your inner guide, guides + angels to direct me to the perfect crystal for you. This is always a fun process, and one Im really excited to do again!

From there I create your necklace with the crystal. You can specify whether you'd like it long or short, or on a gold, or braided hemp chain. All pieces come with back attachments, that you can detach at your leisure. This helps to balance the energy of the necklace, and is also beautiful!

TO ORDER

I am full on orders, thank you so much :)

The Self-Love Challenge - Celebrate February in a New Way!

Ahhh February... the month of lurve. I've always had a fun and light-hearted approach to this month, because for most of my life I've been single, and had single girlfriends by my side to celebrate with. I think that's so beautiful, but I'm ready to take this whole love business to the next level - I'm ready to celebrate myself all month long. Yes, you heard me. I'm going to be celebrating the love I have for myself all February long, and I want you to join me!

If you're reading this, you're probably already aware that self-love is one of the most powerful goals you could ever have. Rather than being some egocentric ploy to spend more time thinking about yourself, making self-love a priority is one of the biggest ways you can serve the world. A person who loves themselves is kind to others, always thinking about how they can best serve the world, and is in a near constant state of joy, which energetically permeates whatever space they're in.

Self-love is a journey. We don't get there overnight. But by inviting subtle processes to mark our intention to love ourselves, we make the big shifts. (I'm pulling wisdom from Gabrielle Bernstein in here)

Therefore, for the month of February, I will be posting small but profound ways that we can create lasting self-love. I'll be posting 7 ideas, once a week. You don't have to do all of the activities I post, they're simply meant to be inspiration for ways you can bring your own self-love practice into being. You can choose to do one self-loving activity a week, or like I'm suggesting, one self-loving activity a day. Feel free to switch it up and add your own ideas into the mix. After all, it's about you!

Day 1 - Practice Yoga at Home

Most of us only do yoga when we go out to a class, but I've recently discovered how incredible it is to practice in your own home. You can do it for as little as or as long as you want (Today I did about 25 minutes), you can do all of your favourite poses, and you have the awareness that you're not doing it because of anyone else. There is no instructor to keep you going, it's just the love you have for yourself and your body that keeps you on the mat. I like to go through some vinyasas and cat curls, and then see what else my body is feeling. If you're not familiar with yoga poses yet, check out Yoga Journal's free online sets or sign up for a free 15 day trial of YogaGlo for full online classes!

Day 2 - Clear Your Home With Incense

Natural Incense has potent medicinal + spiritual qualities if directed with intention. Go out and get yourself some good quality incense that you love the smell of. Then light it in your office, bedroom or bathroom and say aloud "Thank you Incense for clearing my home, and charging it with loving vibrations. May the spirit of this tradition permeate my home, and cause love to fill every corner of my space".

Day 3 - Treat Yourself to a Sunset

Everyone knows sunsets are beautiful, but few of us realize the true implications that a sunset can have. The colours, which tend to be orange, red, pink, and purple-ish, relax and give power to our lower chakras. This helps to ground you, allows you to feel more sensual and open, and prepares you for a relaxing night's sleep. Make sure to get outside (no windows!) for sunset, to reap the maximum benefit. If you want to go even further with this, meditate with Doreen Virtue and her 'Sunset Inner Peace Meditation'.

Day 4 - Buy Yourself the Perfect Crystal

Crystals are magical. Anytime I even look at mine I feel a sense of love and mystical connection that helps me to feel grounded and joyful. Today, go to your local crystal / new age store and say this prayer  "Inner guide, please clear my field and help to find the perfect crystal for me. Specifically I am looking for a crystal that helps me to feel more love for myself. Thank you!" - Choose the first one you touch. If you need some more guidance, please read my post on 'How to Choose the Perfect Crystal.'

Day 5 - Start Your Day Off With a Smoothie

Many of us tend to start our days with coffee, which although not bad in and of itself, can have negative effects over time. (Coffee is acidic, stresses the adrenals, dehydrates us, and can cause anxiety) Instead, substitue your usual morning elixer with a superfood smoothie! Depending on what you put in yours, smoothies can be packed with anti-oxidants, fibre, protein, and easy to digest energy that will help to fuel you all day long. To get some ideas for yours, check out Young and Raw's smoothie recipes. (Also, how fun is it to say smoothie? Smoooooothie smewwwwwwwtheeeee)

Day 6 - Have a Colour Therapy Bath

Colour Therapy means to use the vibration of colour to affect your mood or overall disposition. When used frequently (for example, eating green foods because your body tells you to, or wearing purple because it feels right) colour therapy can have a significant effect on your life.

Today, try having a pink colour therapy bath. Simply add a Tbsp or so of beet powder and about a cup of sea salt, and get soaking! Pink corresponds to the heart chakra, and a feeling of overall radiance. Notice how it makes you feel to soak in it :)

Day 7 - Go To Your Favourite Store

It's such a treat for me to go to my favourite crystal + book stores. I go not just to buy, but to soak up the environment of the healing products around me. I can spend hours, literally, going through books, pulling tarot cards, and playing with crystals. I've also met some pretty amazing people this way.

What's your favourite shop? Perhaps a vintage boutique or a cupcake store? Maybe an outdoor adventure spot or a cozy cafe with books for sale? Today, visit it just because! Enjoy your time there and make an experience of it.

A Message from Archangel Michael

I didn't always believe in Angels, in fact, up until about 16 months ago, I thought they were straight out of a fiction book. That all changed, however, when I started relying on my inner guidance for advice, rather than the outside world. Since then, the Angels have shown up everywhere in my life. At first they showed themselves visually, in blue flashes of light I'd see around people, cars, and animals. Eventually they showed themselves to me in words.

I can hear them most clearly when I take a pen to paper, in nature, and ask a specific angel to step forth  and channel his or her energy into my writing.

I know it may sound a little scary, or perhaps a little out there - and you're right. Opening yourself up to ideas that society has deemed crazy calls for some serious confidence. But we all have the ability to speak with angels, and now, more than ever, calls for us to use that ability.

Today I went out to nature in a bit of an anxious state. I had so much going on for my business that I didn't know where to start. I asked Archangel Michael to come through to me, and this is what he said. This message is not only true for me, but for all people.

"Just trust your inner voice, when it tells you to sit, then sit. When it tells you to run, then run. When it longs for companionship, go out and find a friend. When it needs to be alone, be alone. Trust that you are exactly where you need to be. The world may seem scary and big, but it's not, it's right inside of you. When you feel the merging of your soul with the divine one truth, let it be so. Don't run in fear of what is to come, as I have said, and will say again, you are taken care of, you are loved, you are honoured.
Your mission is great, a fantastic merging of different passions and intersections. Let that not fool you, though, as the only true mission is within your heart. To be the love which you seek, to live in the one truth that all is perfect, whole, and clear. Respect others and where they are at with their journeys, in time, everyone will join the light race.
Unfold your wings and let the power of intention guide you, across the seas, to distant shores, where your name is being called, even now. Trust that we understand your human needs, to be loved and to love, to give and to receive, and to play amongst the orchards of paradise. It is so. We will give to you, give all to you. Just be ready to receive. Be ready to receive the oneness of all, the lightness of being which you crave, and which you are experiencing, even now.
Let all your days be filled with glee, for you are a holy child of Spirit, whose name means the glory of all days of life, of all love, and of all happiness. Remember the memories of oneness, that are always there, never lost, in the bowels of the earth, in the land of the seas, and in the dawn of humankind.
With much love and respect, yours*, Michael."
I took yours to mean the 'love and respect' he concludes with is your own love and respect, as we are all one, so is the love we share.

I'll be posting soon about how you too, can receive messages. It requires practice, but once you start to trust yourself, you can communicate with virtually any part of the spirit world - a deceased relative, , Angels, Buddha, Jesus, a Hindu Goddess - the list goes on.

Til next time,
xx Beth

Eat Your Way to a Divine Life

I've always known that exercise and eating right were a guide to physical health. Still, I resisted physical movement for much of my life. It wasn't until recently that this all changed, as I began to understand the real effects of taking care of my body.

Green Smoothies are easy, incredibly energizing, and super customizable!

Organic Coconut Milk, Water, and Chia Seeds with Watermelon - A fantastic way to start the day!

The truth is, movement and healthy eating aren't just keys to physical health, but to emotional, mental, and spiritual health as well. Here's why:

  • Exercise releases stored stress in the body. Worrying, guilt, and fear based thinking often work their way into our muscles. Once this happens, the only way to release the stored toxins is through movement. When we exercise, we're literally releasing negativity - and unblocking energetic pathways in the body.
  • Healthy eating keeps our bodies clear, light, and happy. Healthy eating doesn't mean looking at nutritional charts, and adopting a one size fits all plan - it means listening intuitively to your body - what does it want to eat? (Hint: It's probably not ice cream, that's your mind at play) If you can't quite hear it yet, that's ok! Start with fresh organic veggies and fruit, and light sources of protein, such as nuts, chia seeds, tempeh, mung beans, and sustainably sourced fish. Eat raw meals as much as possible. When you need a sweet treat, try dates, coconut 'milk'shakes, or raw macaroons.

When we keep our physical channels clear, magical things happen. Our subconscious is no longer tied up paying attention to the discomfort in our bodies. It can now hear the subtle vibrations of our intuitive guidance, and our angels. We can clearly receive divine communication that will lead us to our ultimate lives.

Where Do Miracles Come From?

I can’t count the number of magical moments that have happened to me since I decided to live my life on purpose. A couple weekends ago I had a day full of those moments. Upon walking out the door to meet with a client, I started to think how amazeballs it would be to live in nature. Not 2 seconds later, I found a huge, beautiful feather on the ground, whose size I’ve only come across in the wild. Miracle #1.

Being in love with the wild feather I found on the ground.

After my meeting, I decided to head to the organic food store to pick up one of my favourite raw treats. On my way, I spontaneously popped into the crystal store, where I was ceremenoiously gifted 2 of the very same treats I had been lusting after. I didn't even know they sold them there!

How did this synchronicity make it’s way into my day? Here is the CRUCIAL component: I felt good about what I was thinking about! As I was thinking about nature and raw treats, I was feeling positively lovely feelings. My positive feelings helped call those positive situations to me. I wasn’t feeling anxious or badly because I wasn’t in nature, or that I didn’t have a yummy delicious organic macaroon in my mouth. I was feeling the love that comes from imagining those gifts as if they were present.

In short, my feelings were centered around abundance, not around lack. Be aware of how you feel today when you’re thinking about what you want. Do your feelings come from lack or from abundance?

It's Natural (and OK!) To Get Angry

Does this ever happen to you? You're on a roll, choosing positive thoughts, taking time for yourself, and all of a sudden your ego revs up. Fearful, worrying thoughts come up, and you start to feel irritated often.

Don't worry, you're not crazy. In this vlog, I share a personal story of how I go through the same thing, and tips on how to deal with it.

Colour Therapy: Pink

I adore pink. I never did paint my room with the hue, or wear outfit upon outfit of the colour, but I’ve always appreciated how it makes me feel. And no wonder, as it’s vibration has powerful healing capabilities - pink is the colour of divine love, it’s a symbol to “let love in” - allowing you to open your heart, heal heart problems (both of an emotional and physical variety) while inviting tranquility and unconditional love into your life.

So how can you benefit from these super sweet properties? Here are a couple of my favourite ways to work with the healing energy of pink:

  • Visualize yourself surrounded by a tube of pink light. (Doreen Virtue teaches this) This will help shield you from any waves of negativity that people bring near you, while helping both individuals involved with it’s soothing rays.

  • Wear it! Pull out your pink on days when you feel like you want to celebrate love, or at time when you’re craving some sisterly support.

Sobbing on a bathroom floor

{ Inspecting an ancient fallen tree }
I recently found myself sobbing on a strange bathroom floor, totally entranced by the emotions that were finally pouring out of me. For too long I have been stuffing away emotion, beginning in my teen years when I used to forcefully tell myself “STOP!” whenever I sensed tears. This fear of unhappy emotion inevitably lead to a numbness that encompassed not just the icky stuff, but the good stuff as well.
After a walk in an ancient forest, and a lower-chakra stimulating tea, I realized how profoundly scared I still am of feeling. That’s what lead me to the shedding of tears in that bathroom. And that’s what lead me to this discovery: “In order to feel love, I have to feel my pain.”

{ Fun fact: This is where they filmed an instalment of Star Wars }
